A Vision is Planted
The story of Poplarville Christian Academy began in August 2024, when God placed a vision on the hearts of those who would become its founders: to establish a private Christian school where children could receive a quality education grounded firmly in biblical truth.
What began as an idea soon became something much more. Through weeks of prayer, reflection, and careful consideration, the calling became clear—to create a Christ-centered educational ministry that would serve children and families throughout the Poplarville community.
A Door Opens
As the vision was shared with trusted friends and members of the community, God began opening doors.
During this time, a local church was seeking new opportunities to expand its outreach ministry. A meeting was arranged with the pastor to share the vision for a Christian school dedicated to educating children academically while also discipling them in their faith.
After prayerful consideration, the church embraced the opportunity to partner with the school and graciously opened its facilities, providing Poplarville Christian Academy with a place to begin its ministry.
A Season of Prayer, Planning, and Provision
From late 2024 into 2025, a small group of dedicated individuals gathered regularly to pray, plan, and prepare for the school's opening.
There were countless details to work through, but throughout the process God's guidance and provision continued to be evident. With each new step, the vision that began months earlier moved closer to becoming a reality.
A major milestone came when the school received official approval from the state, clearing the way for Poplarville Christian Academy to welcome its first students.
Our First School Year
In the fall of 2025, Poplarville Christian Academy officially opened its doors for the 2025–2026 school year.
For the first time, classrooms were filled with students and the vision that had begun with prayer became a living, growing ministry.
Throughout that inaugural year, students learned, friendships were formed, teachers invested in young lives, and biblical truth became part of the everyday classroom experience.
The first year represented far more than the opening of a school. It marked the beginning of a community committed to pursuing academic excellence while helping students grow in character, leadership, and their relationship with Christ.
Growing Into the Future
As Poplarville Christian Academy begins its second year, we are grateful for all that God has accomplished and look forward with faith and excitement to what lies ahead.
The school continues to grow upon the foundation established during its inaugural year while remaining committed to the vision that started it all: providing children with an excellent education in an environment where Christ is at the center of everything we do.
Our story is still being written.
With every new student, every family who joins our community, and every school year that begins, we look forward to seeing how God continues to use Poplarville Christian Academy to impact lives for generations to come.
