A Vision is Planted

Poplarville Christian School began as a vision in August 2024. During that time, a strong sense of calling led to the exploration of opening a private Christian school to serve families in the community.

After weeks of prayer, reflection, and careful consideration, it became clear that this vision was not just an idea—but a calling to establish a Christ-centered educational ministry.

A Door Opens

As conversations began with trusted friends and community members, the direction of the school started to take shape. During this time, it was discovered that Faith Memorial Baptist Church had been seeking new ways to expand its outreach ministry.

A meeting was arranged with the pastor to share the vision of a Christian school dedicated to educating and discipling children. After prayerful consideration, the church agreed to partner in this effort and graciously opened its facilities for the school to operate.

A Season of Prayer, Planning, and Provision

From late 2024 through 2025, a small group of dedicated individuals met weekly to pray, plan, and prepare for the school’s launch.

Throughout this season, God’s guidance was evident in both encouragement and provision. Each step forward reaffirmed that this was His work being carried out.

During this time, Poplarville Christian School received official approval from the state, marking a significant milestone in its establishment.

Opening for the 2025–2026 School Year

With approval secured and preparations in place, the leadership team moved forward with opening the school for the 2025–2026 academic year.

This step required significant personal and professional commitment, including transitioning to full-time efforts focused on developing and operating the school.
